I’m a digital native with great news judgment and fluency in SEO analytics and social media, as well as a strong leader and self-starter. I enjoy telling unique and unusual stories, and developing multi-platform projects that cater to our audience. I currently serve as Assistant City Editor and lead the Van Live team for the Vancouver Sun and Province. My duties include assigning and supporting our digital news team, as well as scheduling and management. In 2018, I was part of a Jack Webster Award-winning team for our coverage of the 2017 B.C. wildfires; and in 2020, our team again won for our breaking news coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2019, I was selected for the Jack Webster Poynter Fellowship. Prior to journalism, I spent several years as a youth worker and program co-ordinator, engaging with children and teens through community outreach programs.
