About Sherry Thomas

Exploring the world is a lifelong passion and since 2019, I have been lucky to make it my career, specializing in luxury alumni travel. I received the opportunity to begin sharing my personal adventures (now spanning more than 15 countries) as a feature writer for the Houston Chronicle, developing Sunday travel section story packages based on itineraries I created. I also conceived and produced a comprehensive, digital travel guide to Houston for USAToday.com. As the Editor in Chief of multiple luxury magazines, I expanded my travel writing portfolio with articles took me from the kitchen of the Ritz-Carlton London (cooking with the chef) to the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia in Turkey. My travel stories and blogs have also appeared in the Chicago Tribune, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Culturetrip.com, TripAdvisor.com, and NS Magazine. Through these experiences, I have witnessed the life-changing power of travel—personally and now for the guests we serve at Orbridge.
