ABOUT BYRON SHELDON

I’m a Video Production Manager and hands on filmmaker based in Leeds, with a background in leading video production across live performance, corporate, and digital content.Currently at Shot Blast Media, I oversee end to end production delivery from planning and resourcing through to filming, post production and client delivery. I lead crews, manage schedules and budgets, and stay closely involved on the tools as a camera operator and editor. I’m used to fast-moving environments where clarity, trust and problem solving matter as much as creative output.Earlier in my career, I progressed from Teaching Assistant to Film & TV Teacher at Pauline Quirk Academy, where I led student productions, managed equipment and supported large teams of young performers, including backstage responsibilities on a West End production. This experience shaped how I lead teams today: calm under pressure, organised, and people first.I have extensive experience filming live performances and theatre, including multi camera capture of full productions. This has involved close collaboration with performers, creative teams and venue staff, working sensitively around live environments while maintaining high technical and safeguarding standards.I’m particularly strong in production planning, workflow optimisation and health & safety management, regularly producing RAMS and overseeing safe systems of work.I enjoy roles where I can bring structure to busy environments, support teams to do their best work, and still remain creatively involved in the process
