The Atrium at Navesink Harbor - Implement and provide therapeutic recreation programs to residents on the healthcare floors - Develop care plans for residents and continue to document quarterly, annual, and initial Recrearion therapy assessments and progress notes - Attend resident morning meetings, family care plan meetings and discuss resident’s care plans and progress- Document and analyze data for QAPI to ensure recreation therapy department is running smoothly. Discuss and document data from FaceTime calls and phone calls with resident’s families, resident room visits, monthly resident council meetings, and resident activity participation in daily programs as well as resident’s care plans- Manage 4 patient activities assistant Including their payroll and schedules as well as other management roles as a director - Attend departmental meetings as well as interdisciplinary meetings with other department heads to discuss various topics as well as management topics within the organization - Plan and provide monthly recreation therapy calendars to residents as well as develop flyers and provide large social events to residents - Provide and implement resident’s with boat trips, daily recreation therapy programs consisting of painting, arts and crafts, active games, exercise groups, discussions and trivia groups, bingo, news review, horse racing, etc. to meet their needs and stabilize their quality of life- Provide and implement 1:1 sensory treatments for resident’s with dementia and behavioral issues such as relaxation, meditation, calming music, hand massages, etc.
