Reporting to Chancellor Sharon Gaber, the inaugural Associate Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) will serve on the Chancellor\'s Executive team and provide executive leadership, oversight, and vision as Charlotte’s principal strategist to systemically advance diversity, equity, and inclusion as part of the university’s guiding commitments while contributing to the national dialogue around inclusive excellence and promising practices in higher education. The CDO actively engages and collaborates with institutional stakeholders to further Charlotte’s goals of recruiting and retaining a diverse community, building an equitable and inclusive campus climate and culture, and ensuring students, faculty, and staff from all backgrounds can thrive at the university.
