About Brenda Castro
Mathematician + Computer Scientist turned Therapist. I am a spunky, driven philomath here to help improve our well-being. I especially want to help with issues relating to gender dysphoria, open relationships, and sexuality. I have had the unconventional path of growing as a child of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. I switched from a Cornell Tech PhD to pursue the deeply meaningful work of living our all too human lives. I work as a Mental Health Counselor with Good Therapy NYC, a practice based in Brooklyn. I also am a rock climbing coach with The Cliffs. In 2018, I graduated from Harvey Mudd College with a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics. I have conducted research in accessible technology, human-robot teamwork, and middle-school computer science education.
