About Benjamin van Kuren

I grew up in a military family and have lived around diverse types of leaders throughout the world my entire life. These experiences developed a desire in me to lead people to accomplish great things. My career has been a giant leadership lab and I have been fortunate to serve in a variety of positions that had unique leadership challenges. Being a leader has taught me that people who are inspired to work together can accomplish far more than I ever could myself. I have learned how to: Lead an organization to scale from a small local $2M company to $10M in revenue with multi-state operations-Put the customer experience at the center of everything we do-Develop future leaders before positions come open -Systematize everything into repeatable, teachable processes -Remove obstacles so the team can achieve victory Build and lead high performance (sales) teams -Start by hiring the right people who fit the culture we intend to have -Continuously train each member over of 5-minute interactions -Stimulate competition with key result scoreboards -Bring high intensity level to set the pace Lead networks of volunteers toward a common vision-Invest in the betterment of people first -Define the “win” and keep it in front of the people -Celebrate movement toward the victory; whether its two inches or two miles -Help connect people to serve in positions that match their strengths Lead people to higher performance through measurement, mentoring, and finding meaning-Help people define and reach their dreams is more compelling than performance charts -Measure key performance indicators and then help people move the numbers-Data shows the difference between potential and performance-Provided field training to most effectively demonstrate best practices. I use my leadership abilities to help organizations solve problems so they can grow.
