About Busra S A.
My future work aims to build computational models of psychiatric processes that integrate neuroimaging, behavioral, and contextual data to identify early neural markers of dysregulation, breaks in synchrony, structural changes, and disruptions in cognitive balance, to translate these findings into adaptive interventions that restore coherence.I want to develop predictive tools that detect early warning signs and create personalized models that match interventions to each individual’s neural profile. Beyond research, I hope to share what I learn, to teach and mentor, to bring this knowledge to students and broader communities. If suffering is the loosing of one\'s self, then research is the act of understanding how to restore it. I hope to continue the legacy of those who devoted their lives to understanding and alleviating suffering.

Investigated spatial attention mechanisms in MEG, testing whether 62–66 Hz Steady-State Visually Evoked Potentials (SSVEPs) lateralize with left vs. right attention cues to probe hemispheric specialization.Built a full preprocessing pipeline for 47 participants: concatenated runs, applied Maxwell filtering,filtered/resampled data, annotated artifacts (auto + manual), and removed EOG/ECG components via ICA.Applying Multivariate Pattern Analysis (MVPA) decoding and spectral analyses on cleaned data to test cue-locked lateralization patterns, confirming expected attention effects and enabling robust classification ofattentional states.
