Chip Hoover is a Managing Director and Senior Executive Vice President at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA).He advises mid market and large commercial insurance and captive clients across the 48 contiguous United States, as well as Canada and the Cayman Islands.In 2005, Chip founded AGA Hoover, establishing an office in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The agency was acquired by J. Smith Lanier & Co. in 2007, which later became part of MMA in 2017. In 2020, the Murfreesboro office was awarded Office of the Year for MMA Southeast. Chip has served on numerous industry, business, and civic boards, including Oakworth Capital Bank, Insurors of Tennessee, American Heart Association, Nashville Entrepreneur Center, Athletic Director Search Committee for Middle Tennessee State University, and co-founder of the 100 Club of Rutherford County. His professional recognitions include the 2021 Insurance Business “Top Producer” award, the 2007 Insurors of Tennessee “Young Agent of the Year” award, and multiple qualifications for MMA’s Circle of Champions.In 2010, Chip was honored with Tennessee\'s highest civilian honor receiving the Colonel Aide de Camp award. He is a graduate of Leadership Middle Tennessee, class of 2015.
