   Heretic Films is an independent movie production house that produces and distributes films with budgets under $10 million. Our slate includes Sundance Cinematography winner \"Low Down\"(Glenn Close, Elle Fanning, John Hawkes, Peter Dinklange),\"Welcome to Me\"(Kristin Wiig, Tim Robbins, James Marsden), Kevin Pollak\'s 2015 Sundance premiering documentary \"Misery Loves Comedy\"(Tom Hanks, Judd Apatow, Amy Schumer), Slamdance audience award winner \"Copenhagen\"(Gethin Anthony, Frederikke Dahl Hansen, Tamzin Merchant). We specialize in projects where we can put our greatest effort towards supporting the creative freedom of the director and cast. We, in turn, handle much of the promotion, packaging, finance and distribution that independent films normally have to turn to outside agencies to obtain. This model allows us to generate both a higher per film return as well as maximizing our opportunity for critical success in the larger film world.
