   Coordinating with Main Sail, the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) and the Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF), and various suppliers, in support of the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program (SIOP) in gathering necessary shipyard information for Computerized Simulation Models to benchmark operations at the four Public Naval Shipyards of the United States. • Interviewed 12 shop floor supervisors and 51 shop floor mechanics in 18 work centers throughout seven job shops and four buildings of the PSNS and the IMF, using the Modified Delphi Method, while capturing the following information: process flow, time variation estimates, delay information, and equipment information for 134 total job orders in six months. • Documenting information collected through interviews in the form of Dossiers. Converted Dossiers to new template revisions upon request. • Constructing Process Flow Charts for each job order using Microsoft Visio. • Maintaining Main Sail’s log of all job orders that received mechanic interviews. • Revised briefing on the SIOP PSNS modeling effort. • Reviewing daily production lists; and Interviewing mechanics for recent and critical job orders as Level of Effort (LOE). • Constructed Process Flow Charts and a Checklist of the LOE process for new and existing Main Sail Industrial Engineers to follow.
