Responsible for maintaining and facilitating continuous improvement in all aspects of the site’s HSE management systems and standards, in line with the group’s management systems and policies.• Provides managers and employees with information on legislative and corporate compliance, advises on ways of meeting statutory requirements and Corporate HS & E Policies, HSE recommendations and codes of practice.• Responsible for the investigation and review of significant accidents, incidents, complaints and pollution events, and the identification of solutions to prevent recurrence. Drives close out of issues and non-conformance.• Supports the Crisis Incident Management (CIM) process for H S&E issues by carrying out formal risk assessments and reports into the site’s Green Team.• Managing the site ISO Management Systems (14001 and 45001)• Managing all documentations for the site ISO Management system. • Audits, monitors, and reviews the implementation of Health and Safety policies, working practices, safety procedures and standards for operations. • Co-ordinates all site audits through the Central Audit Team and accompanies auditors on site.• Carrying out environmental aspects and impacts assessment to identify potential environmental risk.• Manage the site environmental permit and management.• Responsible for ensuring the site fire safety through adequate checks of fire detection and suppression systems, and compliance to fire regulation. • Collates data and information and reports on site’s HS & E performance.• Drives risk assessment processes to continuously improve site’s health and safety performance.• Drives the HSE agenda for the site; addresses issue and determines the site requirements for improvements.• Approves SOPs relating to HSE.• Provides and advises on appropriate site HSE training as required for employees.
