ABOUT BUKET BARIŞ

I am a senior Nutrition and Dietetics student pursuing a double major in Genetics and Bioengineering, with a strong academic interest in metabolism, nutrigenetics, and the biological mechanisms underlying human health and disease. My interdisciplinary education has allowed me to explore nutrition not only from a health sciences perspective, but also through molecular biology and life science frameworks. Through my academic journey, I have gained exposure to research environments and interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthening my curiosity about how molecular pathways, genetic variability, and environmental factors interact to influence metabolic regulation and disease risk. I am particularly interested in translational research that connects laboratory findings with nutrition and physiology.My long-term goal is to pursue advanced academic training and build a research-oriented career at the intersection of metabolism, nutrition, and genetics. I am motivated by scientific curiosity, continuous learning, and the opportunity to contribute to research that improves our understanding of complex metabolic diseases and personalized health approaches.
