About Buddy Bernhard
Buddy Bernhard is a computer science nerd, vehicle service technician, and a data scientist. He earned his Bachelors in Computer Science and Environmental Studies from The George Washington University in 2013. After graduating he spent a year setting up 3D printers in Colombia before moving to Paris, France to work at Hardware Club, a venture capital firm. He started at Local Motors in National Harbor, MD just over three years ago and currently leads in autonomous vehicle deployments as a Deployment Launch Project Manager. While working with Local Motors, Buddy has led working groups and tours with visitors like Maryland\'s Governor, Larry Hogan, and the United States CTO Megan Smith. In the past two years, he has received awards for his designs from DC media groups, a scholarship from Google and a self-driving car engineer certificate from Udacity. When he\'s not scoping locations for Local Motor\'s autonomous vehicles, 3D printing shuttle parts, or calibrating sensors he loves to cook and volunteer, sometimes at the same time.
