More than 25 years experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining STP, served as the Director of Florida Communications for Progress Energy in St. Petersburg, Florida. Joined Southern Company\'s corporate communications team in 1986. Served as manager, corporate communications manager for Southern\'s Mississippi Power subsidiary from 1990 to 1996. In 1996, named Southern\'s director of Washington Communications - responsible for national and energy trade media and federal issues management. Joined Dittus Communications in 2003 as Vice President for the firm’s Energy and Environment practice - developing strategies to support lobbying and public education campaigns in energy policy. Earned Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Georgia State University in Atlanta. Served on the National Governors Association Electricity Advisory Committee and as Chair for the Global Climate Coalition’s Communications Committee. Currently serving on the board of directors of the Bay City Chamber of Commerce; the Boys and Girls Club of Bay City and Matagorda County; and the Matagorda Regional Medical Center Foundation. A Mississippi Economic Council Leadership Mississippi Graduate; Past President of the Public Relations Association of Mississippi; and Past President of the Great Falls Virginia Little League.
