Bud leads the Hybridworks organization as they bring to market the most robust and efficient solutions for recycling waste textiles.The proprietary process and equipment created by Hybridworks recovers 100% cotton fiber from the blended fabric while simultaneously breaking down polyester fiber into its original components of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol. No need to shred, no need manually removed buttons, zippers, and other attachments. Hybridworks hSTEP is remarkably automated, efficient, and eco-friendly, utilizing up to 24 times less water and therefore less heat compared to conventional textile processing systems. Finally, and best of all, the recylced fibers are intact and can be re-woven into new fabrics, resulting in truly circular textile solutions.
