About Eric Buckley
As the Director of Engineering at Build Health International (BHI), I lead a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and globally distributed team dedicated to strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the world’s lowest-resource settings.The team—spanning structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and biomedical engineering disciplines, alongside logistics and global health experts—is a driving force behind BHI\'s comprehensive approach to delivering healthcare infrastructure. We manage complex engagements that cover the full project life cycle: from initial concept and planning, through operations, and hands-on training for end-users. This work is critical to expanding access to essential services, including improving the availability of life-saving medical oxygen.I lead a hybrid team with staff based in the US and international colleagues located across the globe. Successfully delivering our mission requires close collaboration with a diverse network of partners, including local and international NGOs, Ministries of Health, and large global multilateral organizations. My focus is on unifying these efforts to build resilient, functional, and sustainable health systems infrastructure.I am deeply driven by the built environment\'s profound ability to be a transformative force in the world, and I am committed to leveraging my professional experience and leadership to play a role in this transformation.
