Conducts software assessment for software-related capital projects monthly to determine if they would be qualified as capitalizable (SaaS), as a prepaid expense, or as PPE. Tracks spend per project, reviews invoices over $150k, reviews contracts over $1M, reclasses OPEX expenses out of CIP, and creates assets in SAP when modules are ready to go live- Analyzes over 50 accounts via reconciliation in Blackline monthly, including: banks accounts, CIP and software, deferred rent and revenue, accrued expenses, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and prepaid expenses. Ensure balances and support are correct, assembles appropriate backup for each line item, and reports any errors if applicable- Administers prepaid expenses (over $40M) and purchase order accruals (~$12M) via Ariba. Creates amortization schedules in Blackline and posts monthly amortization, reclasses prepaids with terms over 1 year to long-term if necessary, and partners with FP & A to confirm coding- Developed automatic journals in Blackline for our prepaid amortizations. Led employee onboarding for new Fixed Asset Accountant and new Fixed Assets Manager- Main point of contact on the accounting team to resolve accounting problems and discrepancies.
