ABOUT BRIAN SCOTT

My name is Brian Scott and I am working on my masters in Business Administration. I was a student at Georgia State University majoring in Managerial Science and minoring in Entrepreneurship. I graduated in May of 2019 with a bachelor\'s. Before Georgia State I was dual enrolled at Athens Technical College in which I majored in mechatronics.I was hired as an assembly intern by Caterpillar in which I learned how to use SAP and 5S. I then worked within the manufacturing engineering department in which I was a part of time studies, updating SAP, and part of weekly meetings. Then I worked as a section manager intern in which I worked on 5S audits and Continuous Improvement audits. I was also a liaison to the managers and the assemblers in order to boost morale. I worked on CI and safety cards. Finally, I worked as a Quality auditor in which I grabbed defected parts from the line. I was a part of a meeting with management to decide if the part was good enough to go back to the line or not. I came back full time as an assembler making sure quality is top notch and understanding how workers behavior effects work environment, may it be management or hourly workers. I now work on Purchase orders ranging from $0 to I have worked with Continuous Improvement and CPS Metrics in order to maintain our company\'s bottom line and goals. I am looking for career opportunities where I can advance both upwards and lateral so I can become well rounded and beneficial to the company, the community, and myself.
