ABOUT BARRETT BATTEN

I’m a software engineer with a strong foundation in artificial intelligence, embedded systems, and large-scale data processing. I currently work at Northrop Grumman, where I focus on testing and developing operational flight software for mission-critical defense systems, including the B-1 Bomber. My work spans classified programs and involves performance-critical systems in electronic warfare and aerospace. I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Computer Science (AI emphasis) and an A.B. in Cognitive Science. My academic background spans both technical systems and human-centered computing, with research and development projects in AI model optimization and blockchain architecture. I’ve built tools that integrate machine learning with C# desktop apps, and presented award-winning work at major hackathons and tech conferences. Passionate about solving complex problems at the intersection of software and defense, I thrive in fast-paced environments where reliability, innovation, and impact converge.
