About Bryson Turner
It\'s a little surreal to think that I\'ve been in the Journalism world for six years now. From my days as a high school journalist to today, attending UCF and working for the Black and Gold Banneret, I\'ve encountered so many people that I\'m happy I met and many stories that I\'m honored to have told. Looking back, I\'m glad I finished runner-up for the 2019 Todd C. Smith Journalist of the Year Award because it reminded me that I still had a lot of growing to do as a journalist. Now, a little less than four years later, I\'ve been witness to moments I will appreciate forever. While I could not be more grateful for the opportunities that I had in high school to work with the Sanford Herald and Orlando Sentinel, the opportunities I\'ve had in college have helped expand my journalistic ability to new mediums, such as live streaming and podcasting. However, just like I knew back in 2019, even with the years of experience I have, there will always be new opportunities to learn and grow, and I\'m eager to see what else this Journalism Journey has for me.
