At By-the-Sea Resorts, I serve as Director of Design, where I lead boutique luxury hospitality projects from origin story and design direction through architectural execution and installation. I currently oversee the full design process for The Botany, a landmark beachfront hotel development in St. Thomas, USVI. My role balances creative design storytelling with technical precision, ensuring that every design decision—from concept to installation—embodies a sense of place and enhances the guest experience.I lead a multidisciplinary team of designers and coordinate closely with ownership, consultants, and on-island staff to deliver a cohesive vision. My responsibilities span: • Design Direction – Crafting narrative-driven design concepts rooted in the history, culture, and natural environment of each property. • Technical Execution – Developing interior architecture and FF & E drawings, specifications, and procurement schedules. • Project Leadership – Managing cross-functional collaboration, construction oversight, and on-site installation logistics. • Procurement Oversight – Coordinating FF & E/OS & E selections, vendor relations, shipping logistics, and warehousing strategies.Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, I integrate digital tools with design intuition to create visually compelling, functional, and buildable solutions. My leadership is defined by the ability to bridge creative storytelling with technical execution, delivering interiors that are both inspiring and operationally effective.My ultimate goal is to design distinctive, place-specific hospitality experiences that elevate luxury living, reflect the uniqueness of their environment, and align with long-term business objectives.
