At Northwest Counsel we are always on the lookout for talented, mission-oriented therapists who genuinely feel called to caring for people. We truly do believe that \"Change comes through relationship\" here, which means building authentic relationships with our clients, and establishing positive rapport and trust to help usher in real, long-lasting change in peoples\' lives - not just band-aid solutions. As a therapist, I provide individual, marriage, and adolescent counseling using psychodynamic and relational based models paired with a strength-based and empowering client-centered approach. This gives clients the opportunity to dig deep to find meaning in their wounds, allowing them to address the causes of their pain, not just their symptoms. The areas I frequently counsel are men\'s issues (including relationships and sexual problems), spiritual direction, post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, marriage difficulties and divorce, job concerns, financial concerns, grief and loss, issues with sexuality and sexual identity, and parenting problems. Additionally, as clinical director at Northwest Counsel, a mental health group focused on providing the highest level of counseling care for the Pierce County region, I oversee the general path and vision of the entire operation. This includes general operations, marketing, and finances for the group. Also, as the lead clinical supervisor, I provide professional supervision to associate therapists and interns for the purpose of meeting licensing, legal, and educational standards for the therapist to work both on professional development and assistance for therapeutic direction for clients.
