About Bryan Nese
I turn patents into profits. Leveraging my mechanical engineering background and extensive litigation experience, my team and I have successfully transformed in-house legal departments into revenue generators. By providing bespoke affirmative recovery strategies that turn dust-collecting IP portfolios into consistent cashflow, I have helped companies find revenue streams they never knew they had. I have first-hand experience in mining for, evaluating, and litigating patents covering a wide range of technologies, including computer products and peripherals, cellular devices, biotechnological processes, automotive technologies, dietary supplements, and more. Whether successfully negotiating licenses without the need for litigation or obtaining nine-figure jury verdicts when litigation becomes necessary, I am proud to partner with clients around the world to help them achieve their goals.I have a passion for clear, concise, and universally comprehensible legal writing. I have presented internationally on the topics of patent law generally and ITC and USPTO proceedings specifically.Prior to working in patent litigation, I covered the day-to-day prosecution work for a patent portfolio of several thousand applications for a leading automotive company. During that time, I responded to hundreds of office actions, conducted dozens of USPTO examiner interviews, and drafted dozens of utility and design patent applications. Upon graduating law school, I received the school\'s award for Excellence in Pre-Trial and Trial Advocacy, given to the member of the graduating Juris Doctor class who demonstrated outstanding performance in litigation coursework. During my engineering graduate studies, I conducted combustion research at Penn State’s Propulsion Engineering Research Center. Please reach out to me at b••••@mayerbrown.com. ATTORNEY ADVERTISING
