Manage ~80 million row (95 GB) prescription drug database using computer programming and statistical software (SAS, R, Python). • Use probabilistic and deterministic data linkage techniques and software to \"join\" prescription drug data on common variables with other large health-related datasets (e.g, Medicaid claims, emergency room visits, census).• Coordinate external data requests for research.• Analyze data requests, consult on study design, and provide technical direction.• Review and coordinates execution of Data Use Agreements with researchers and management.• Obtain, clean, and validate data for analysis. Write code and uses computer software packages to import, append, clean, link, and tabulate data from multiple databases. • Contribute to injury prevention data system improvements.• Work with IT development teams, vendors, and colleagues in planning, designing, and implementing data system enhancements to address public health issues and meet end user needs. • Work with IT project management and program staff to develop change requests, test system upgrades, and support development of customizations of the system. • Serve as subject matter expert on prescription drug and injury data.• Write statistical and narrative summary reports, white papers, and manuscripts for the public, advisory boards, and peer-reviewed publications. • Explain and discuss research data with internal staff, government agencies, and news media. • Prepare written responses and technical expertise to outside requests for research information.• Deliver presentations to local, state, and national agencies and stakeholder groups to report research findings.• Maintain grant project reporting and develop new applications for funding from federal agencies.
