DATA ENGINEER (August 2018 - Present) • Integrating and performing ETL between many disparate data sources (Oracle EBS, Hyperion Planning & Essbase, Salesforce, Concur, FileMaker, Project Server, Workday, FAMIS Cloud, ServiceNow, flat files, and many homegrown MySQL, Postgres, and SQL Server systems) • Working with end users, project managers, and visualization experts to design a useful and efficient data architecture • Maintaining and designing a dimensional EDW (star design) on an Oracle 12.2 (LINUX) platform • Converting from OBIEE to Yellowfin reporting system. Designing logical views, and building new data marts to support a new reporting environment • Developing QA systems to ensure our warehouse is continually meeting logical constraint specifications. Fixing bad data when problems arise • Reverse-Engineering ETL from our warehouse back to various source systems to identify data issues • Supporting a Essbase/Hyperion Planning cube system with nightly ODI integrations • Tasks listed below. DATA WAREHOUSE/ETL DEVELOPER (June 2017 - August 2018) • Constructing & troubleshooing complex Informatica mappings & workflows; integrating slowly changing dimensions with our fact tables • Working with DBAs and Sys Admins to configure ETL tools, tweak security settings, and complete upgrades of various software packages • Loading data to our warehouse on various schedules (hourly, nightly, monthly, etc.) using a combination of Informatica workflows & Jenkins jobs • Communicating with financial & business analysts to validate data warehouse results • Constructing physical, business model, and presentation layers within Oracle Business Intelligence EE (OBIEE) to support self-service reporting & dashboards throughout NREL • Software/Tool use: Oracle 12.2, PL/SQL Developer, Oracle SQL Developer, Informatica PowerCenter (9.6.1, 10.2, 10.4), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Yellowfin, Jenkins, OBIEE, Bash, SQL (Oracle/Maria/MySQL/SQL Server dialects)
