ABOUT BRYAN BURAGA

I gather the issues that impact the communities that I care about and act as conduit for the change that they want to see in the world. Ever since I was little, helping people is all that I have wanted to do. That motivation has led me to take on different projects over the past two decades: environmental activism, affordable educational opportunities, and student advocacy, to name a few. Throughout my time in these positions, I have learned that leadership is just as much about being detail-oriented as providing the environment necessary for our organization and its members to grow, thrive, and succeed. Where others see binary choices, I see an opportunity for integration and collaboration. So when I was faced with deciding between which academic discipline I would go into, the arts or the sciences, I thought,\"Why not both?\" The world of today and tomorrow requires a flexible, open-minded workforce, and with the Bachelor of Arts & Science degree I possess from McGill University, I have refined my skills to have the greatest impact on my work. When others have told me that something is impossible to do or difficult to accomplish, I tell them,\"Just watch me.\" As the founder of a six-figure conference in high school and having been elected as one of the youngest student union presidents in McGill University\'s history, I continue to push the envelope and defy expectations. At the same time, I recognize I would never have been able to get to where I am today without those that I have been privileged to work with. What illuminates my work is this quote from Margaret Mead:\"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it\'s the only thing that ever has.\" If you want to work with me or have a chat about just about anything, feel free to connect. Who knows, maybe together we can change the world.
