When The Affordable Care Act was mandated in 2013, it brought a huge need for restaurants to bring to incorporate benefits to their employees. I was invited to make presentations to members of the board, legal representatives and other policy makers on drafting a law to educate the restaurant industry on employee benefits. Today as a board member in San Diego, I work closely with the community in policy formulation, cultivating relationships and provide valuable resources to help restaurateurs with their business. Founded in 1906, the California Restaurants Association has become one of the strongest advocates for the restaurant industry in the country. The CRA exists to help restaurateurs navigate the sometimes treacherous waters that are the hospitality industry.
