ABOUT BRYAN WALSH

My initial interest in commercial real estate was sparked off by working on large office developments and I was fortunate to work on the premier office development in Canada in the early 80’s, PetroCanada Centre. I then embarked into office brokerage to help solve tenants’ challenges and with this, gained a better understanding of workplace issues and the demand side of the office equation, which has been my focus to this date. As office development has thrived in more recent years, I have been called upon to apply my earlier skills and new knowledge of workplace trends to help developers create new office towers that truly meet the needs of the modern tenant. I offer tenants a unique skill set honed by early education as a structural engineer and through Ivey’s case study MBA, a business problem solver. My true passion is to provide service as a “doctor” of real estate. I help diagnose your symptoms and prescribe the best solutions. I also work in the greatest global real estate platform at CBRE, so if I don’t have the expertise you require, I have the best people working alongside myself to refer your challenges to. Outside of work I love spending time with my wife, we have been married since 1984, and our three grown up daughters who all live close by. I am an avid four-season outdoorsman, primarily into mountain biking and skiing, but you will also find me on a road bike, golf course, paddleboard or ski tour. My adventures take me well into the backcountry and I get to see some spectacular places in the Alberta and BC Rockies, Arizona and southern Utah. I’m always happy to meet for coffee to chat about the Calgary office market and equally as happy to discuss must-see places with anyone who plans to venture into these magnificent places.
