About Bryan Thomas

I’m a people-first sales leader with a personal tie to the rare disease and ultra-orphan space. My specialty is giving biotechnology and therapeutics companies an edge by developing their most critical resource – their people. I balance accountability with autonomy to optimize sales, accelerate volume growth, and guide teams through the ups and downs of market changes. Because market changes are the only constant. And this is why my focus is coaching teams to navigate them with passion and purpose. My story starts with a premature birth and only a 50/50 chance of survival. Three in 10 children with a rare disease won’t live to see their fifth birthday and the average time to receive an accurate diagnosis is 4.8 years. I use this as my personal driver in my work, tirelessly pursuing education strategies to help physicians reduce the time to diagnosis and give patients better outcomes. Meeting new and seasoned associates at their point of need and motivating each one uniquely are the keys to building high-performing teams. Without this investment, sellers feel unequipped and unsupported. I see my role as a Regional Sales Director as a trail guide for Zone Business Directors and CAMs. I clear their path so they can focus on their mission.+ When my teams know I have their backs, they can focus on helping more HCPs identify, diagnose, and educate patients. It’s not enough to know the technical details and science behind the treatments; our teams need to understand how to communicate the impact on patients\' and caregivers’ lives. I equip them to become great educators and motivate them to light their own fire of motivation. I empower them with all the resources, training, and tools they need to help doctors give more children a fighting chance. My key areas of influence are business and salesforce expansion strategies, patient acquisition, access improvement, KOL engagement, and trust-building in the rare and ultra-orphan disease market.    Feb 2022 — Present · Franklin, TN, US

   At Travere Therapeutics, I catalyze thriving teams and territories to develop collaborative solutions to identify and serve hard-to-find patients (1 in to cases).I was promoted in 2022 to grow a brand new sales team for a new market, adding 27 Clinical Account Managers and 5 new Zone Business Directors. I also directed the HUB buildout – number of calls, patient flows, compliance requirements, and all facets of training (company culture, product, market, and sales).A few of my recent achievements: Added 27 new sellers and 3 new zone business directors to team. Developed multiple presentations for sales kickoffs in July 2022 and again in November 2022. Led initiative to profile customers and markets in Profile and Ecosystem Playbooks, leveraging hundreds of questions to help sellers truly understand the customer and competitive landscape. Retained 100% of staff despite delay in product approval; launched product in 6 weeks and achieved plan goals.
