ABOUT BRYAN PARK

Bryan Park is an experienced and highly skilled retail leader with a career long retail background in store, regional and operations management. In recent times he has had a successful 20-year history of leading and developing teams to deliver fast paced retail fit out programmes in major retail chains. Prince 2 project management trained he has a proven track record in delivering programmes of work on schedule and against budget. Bryan understands the need to include all areas of the business in the change and transformation journey so has developed his communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills across both internal teams and external supply chains. Bryan enjoys a good Netflix binge but can also be found on long bike rides on hilly country roads or canals.From 2011-20 in his previous role at Specsavers Bryan led the programme team to deliver up to 200 major projects (new stores, relocations, refits) a year across the UK, Republic of Ireland and Spain. 177 new optical practices were delivered between 2012-20. During this period, he managed the project management function, the design, administration and cost teams. Bryan developed the programme governance, reduced costs, introduced supplier performance KPI’s and sat on the Operational board to support the delivery of key IT initiatives across the Specsavers estate. Whilst at Orange Telecommunications from 19••••11 Bryan grew the retail portfolio from 30 to over 400 stores, initially as an Area/Regional manager and from 2006 as Programme manager heading up the rollout programme. This included the portfolio strategy for the UK and the identification of new locations. Bryan delivered the design, prototyping and rollout of a new store design in 2007.Focused on driving efficiencies he reduced the new store delivery process(from Heads of Terms to opening) from 18 weeks to 12 weeks in 2009 resulting in incremental additional profit of £6.6m and reduced time from shell handover to opening from 3 days to less than 24 hours.
