ABOUT BRYAN LING

I am a Software Delivery Manager for a fast paced company. I manage a small delivery team ensuring the right features are delivered at the right time. I have spent most of my career as a senior engineer in an agile delivery team, delivering new features for an established Salesforce product. I work with all members of the team PO/SD/Devs/UX/QA to understand problems and deliver the best solution. I am passionate about implementing agile practices with the delivery team, working with the team to experiment with new ways of working and continually improve processes. I am also passionate about understanding and helping all members of the development team, either through mentoring to help them improve as effective team members, providing advice to help with their future careers, and understand what their passions are to help the team deliver to the best of our capabilities. I have also been a lead member of a application support team, making changes to the code for amendments required by stakeholders, ensuring applications are supportable and maintainable, while ensuring the application is available 24x7. I have led small projects through the full lifecycle from design, coding, testing, implementation.I am always striving to continually improve, either myself as a developer, my fellow team members through mentoring and the processes we use to make the more effective and efficient.I have a good set of interpersonal skills allowing me to convey ideas effectively, especially to non-technical stakeholders.
