Lead Systems Engineer Engineering Manager - Canadian Surface Combatant @Lockheed Martin
I am currently functioning as the Lead Systems Engineer for Lockheed Martin Canada\'s Canadian Surface Combatant Team. This involves development oversight for the technical solution for Combat Systems as well as working closely with our warship designer partner and prime contractor to provide a complete and cost effective solution to our ISI customer and Canada. I am very happy to apply advanced Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches to the development strategy as well as take lessons learned from prior Naval CSI projects I have been involved with and apply them here. This is the largest and most complex procurement in Canadian Naval history and I am thoroughly enjoying the challenge of continually defining the art of the possible. The expertise in the Naval and Combat Management systems integration area at Lockheed Martin Canada is the best in the world and I am extremely happy to continue to be part of building this Canadian capability and community of experts. I stay very closely involved in the development of systems architectures and software as much as I can. I am a strong believer in keeping technically sharp, and talent comes from doing. I am a strong advocate for working with agility and applying agile approaches to all aspects of software and systems engineering and have learned much about what works and what doesn\'t in different situations. Additionally I perform as a Tech Ops (People) manager within LM Canada. I am committed to ensuring my people have challenging assignments that push their limits and allow them opportunities to grow and reach their full potential while utilizing their best skills.
