ABOUT BRYAN DRISCOLL

Experienced biopharmaceutical lawyer currently leading a team of 5 lawyers in London, Shanghai and Beijing responsible for supporting global and regional clinical trials, outcomes and observational research, pharmaceutical science and other R&D in Europe, Middle East and Africa, contributing to global R&D processes and initiatives, and supporting pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs and other functions within European R&D. Member of global legal R&D group, Europe R&D leadership team, local site leadership committee, global labelling oversight committee, global marketed products group leadership team, and internal privacy network. Previously worked at large City law firm specialising in life sciences and intellectual property. Supported pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical technology and other clients on licensing and collaboration deals, funding, clinical trials and other regulatory matters, R&D, grant, sponsorship and other agreements with institutions and healthcare professionals, manufacturing, laboratory and other commercial agreements. Detailed knowledge and experience in advising on regulatory, privacy (GDPR) and other laws and guidelines relating to clinical and genetic research, healthcare ethical and compliance issues, informed consent, all types of R&D and licensing agreements, and general commercial agreements. Other experience whilst in private practice or in-house has included acting as data protection officer, compliance officer and company secretary, supporting medical affairs and commercial activities in UK and Europe, supporting local site-related functions such as HR, facilities and IT, and setting up and supporting R&D in Asia-Pacific region; also served for over 5 years as a member of a UK research ethics committee. Qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 1996.
