SK On is an affiliate of HSAGP Energy LLC, a joint venture between Hyundai Motor Group and SK On, is a new electric vehicle battery cell manufacturer in Kingston, Georgia. The joint venture represents a total investment of approximately $5 billion, with both Hyundai Motor Group and SK On holding a 50% stake. SK On is an affiliate of SK Group, a major South Korean conglomerate, and specializes in the global electric vehicle battery business. The company has a 26 million-square-foot facility strategically located near Hyundai\'s production site to enhance efficiency. Starting in 2025, it will produce 50 million battery cells annually, supporting approximately EVs and boosting the local economy.
