I am responsible for all Server, Networking, and Power & Cooling procurement controllership for our controlled material programs and controlled non-material programs including reconciliations, prescribed pricing, rebates, foreign exchange, and the AWS bottoms up equipment CAPEX forecast. I manage a team who develops tools, analytics, and information reporting to control AWS infrastructure spend ensuring our Procurement teams meet our CAPEX Operating Plan and Risk and Opportunity budget updates. I manage Business Analysts who manage rate variance ensuring we proactively manage and close unfavorable variances. The team builds predictive and prescriptive analytics to improve our supply chain design and policies including balancing cost to achieve on time capacity at our data centers. I manage a team who validates and controls pricing on our quotes from our manufacturers/ suppliers to ensure we control material costs, non-material costs, foreign currency risk from time of PO creation to invoice payment, and that our supplier quotes match the material quantity content in our bill of material (BOM).I collaborate with multiple departments including Finance, Tax, Supply Chain, and Hardware Engineering to understand and quantify the impacts of product/ equipment roadmap decisions. I develop and manage a team who develops analytical decision models and recommendations to guide global supply chain initiatives towards maximum long-term value optimizing supply chain flexibility and total cost of ownership. • Complete cost-benefit justifications for strategic inventory decisions. • I analyze market conditions to ensure our server rack and networking rack component commodity costs are favorable to market. • I lead key initiatives related to operations and procurement cost controllership / management. • I manage our AWS Infrastructure Procurement Analytics team.
