ABOUT BRUNO LIMA

I am passionate by development of systems and new technologies. Development allow us to solve problems, making life easier, but it\'s even more than that: it\'s a way of excercise the mind, think through the challenges and come with the ideal solution for a given scenario. The bigger the challenge, the bigger the reward when a great solution is found. That\'s where the new technologies come in: they allow us to take on even more challenging problems. But it\'s important to notice that, although the advances in technology help, they must be used in the right places and times, otherwise more problems can be created. This leads to one of my beliefs: anyone can code, but design and develop a good system is another story, it takes time and dedication.That said, professionaly I\'ve been working as a developer (most of the time, anyway) since mid 2010, mainly in startups / small companies. In every company we adopted agile methodologies (SCRUM, to be specific). My focus is on backend of systems (using Java and Ruby on Rails, mainly exposing APIs).For personal objectives, I aim on using my technical skills to work on projects that focus on really helping the society (not only something good for people to have, but also something that really changes their lives - for the better, of course).
