ABOUT BRUNO CASEY

I\'m a 21 year-old, third-year student journalist at the University of Gloucestershire in Cheltenham. My long term career aspects are to be travelling as much as possible as an investigative journalist. I intend to look at both human activities and the natural world around us, to create documentaries from this and one day start my own independent investigations/documentary company. I love travelling; I\'ve visited over 20 different countries so far and taken part in multiple exciting experiences both across the UK and abroad. These include a tour of twelve European cities in just four weeks with GapForce, volunteering as a DJ/presenter at Cotswold Hospital Radio in Cheltenham and two weeks spent at Amakhala Game Reserve in South Africa as an animal conservationist with The Mighty Roar. I enjoy journaling my experiences mainly through Instagram:@brunocasey_. I\'m the creator and author of The Earth Journal; my journalistic blog that contains writing from all my adventures, home and abroad. Within the University of Gloucestershire I\'m a proud member of the Adventure Society, and sit on the committee as the marketing officer. It\'s my role to manage all the social media and public relations to maintain our winning streak after achieving the Student Union\'s Society of the Year award 2024/25. This role has both strengthened my skills as a journalist while also taming a fiery passion for content creation.I look up to role models that have inspired me such as Louis Theroux, Christiane Amanpour, David Attenborough, Nick Broomfield and Simon Reeve to name a few. My ethos is to get the truth told and reduce public vulnerability during a period where this concept is most crucial, while using my curious mind to apply as much determination I have for storytelling into the work I carry out.
