About Bruno Sarli
Bruno Sarli is a PhD Aerospace Engineer with focused on system engineering and space flight dynamics. After obtaining a BSc in Aeronautics in Brazil (USP, 2009), a MSc in Space Engineering in Europe (Cranfield University, 2009, and SUPAERO, 2010) and interning for Thales Alenia Space and CNES, he moved to Japan for a Doctorate. Thereafter, he received a Ph.D. in Engineering (SOKENDAI, 2015) while working for JAXA in flight dynamics for the missions: DESTINY+, PROCYON, OMOTENASHI, and Hayabusa 2. In 2016, Bruno joined NASA GSFC. Bruno was a flight dynamicist for NASA’s MAVEN and DART missions, as well as CEASAR proposal. He served as the lead flight dynamics engineer in the NASA’s planetary decadal studies for the Venus Flagship Mission, Geochronology mission, and Venus Equatorial Merged Concept, as well as provided flight dynamics support for the Lunar Geophysical Network, Centaur Orbiter and Lander. Bruno is currently the MSR-CCRS lead in the Protection, Jettison, and Release phase. His background also includes teaching university undergraduate and graduate courses.
