As a child, I drove my parents crazy with my incessant questions about why things were this way or that (I even went through a phase of waking them up in the middle of the night to do so). I believe that this curiosity formed my analytical mindset. In order to provide sound, complete answers to questions, my own and as well as from others, I needed to analyze all the details available to me. With this method of thought established, a career in analytics came naturally.I am the Human Resources Analytics and Reporting Manager at Monro, Inc, a leading automotive service and tire dealer headquartered in Rochester, NY. I manage an international team that specializes in data storytelling and recommending actionable insights that executives and other key decision makers can use to maximize performance. To do so, we leverage various software programs, such Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI, and Smartsheet, to design and deliver timely, accurate analysis, visualizations, and presentations.While I enjoy many aspects of this role, my favorite is the chance to lead projects aimed at resolving the issues that my team and I have identified. Leading these initiatives provides an opportunity to effect tangible business improvements.
