About Bruce Crum
Currently working as a Plumber for RPM Plumbing where we do new construction plumbing on multimillion dollar custom homes in the Park City and Kamas area. Learned to work hard at a young age. Earliest memories were paper routes with my parents at the crack of dawn. Moved up to sweeping the driveway at my dad’s plumbing yard. Next was summers as a teenager laying pipe and installing toilets. Bagged groceries for a few months in high school but then went back to plumbing. Went on a service mission for 2 years in Texas. Economy hit construction hard so I got into customer service at a call center. Liked working with my hands so in college I got a job at a tire shop. Started studying business, got a job at a law firm and then a bank. Got a higher paying job at the bank, started a family, and then moved to Utah after graduation from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey Business School with a B.S. Degree in Business Entrepreneuship Worked in rental car business and then went back to banking for a year. Experienced lay-offs for the first time. Went into sales but quickly went back to construction in flood mitigation. Got a consulting job at software company. Experienced 2nd lay-off. Went into construction doing plumbing and then managed a restoration and construction company. Took a job with a new home builder. Experienced 3rd layoff. Started working at a private rental car company that ended up going under and went back to service plumbing. Most valuable skills I possess are hard work and perseverance.
