Executive Director• Promote businesses within the geographically defined ‘Business Improvement District’• Develop a mix of retail, service and hospitality businesses within the BID.• Continually improve the atmosphere within the BID through the development of appropriate programs that will compliment local businesses• Liaise with various levels of government to lobby for main street and infrastructure improvements to the BID area• Organize and coordinate annual activities for the membership. i.e: Annual general meeting, Business Expo, Spryfield Santa Claus Parade, Family Fun Day, quarterly networking sessions, quarterly newsletter, Festive Christmas Dinner.• Regular site visits to member businesses to solicit their ideas and opinions for improvements to the BID and the organization as a whole• Administration and financial over site for the BID • Organize and coordinate monthly executive committee and board meetings• Respond to inquiries and issues on a daily basis • Sale of Associate Memberships to interested businesses and non-profits outside of the BID expressing an interest in being members • Attend all pertinent meetings on behalf of the Board of Director’s• Various additional duties as required
