Deep experience in medicinal chemistry and structure-based and fragment-based drug design, using compound design to solve pharmaceutical problems. Inventor of countless structural modifications that improved PK, avoided off-targets, improved potency, efficacy, safety. Managing role in an oncology hit-to-lead group taking projects from inception through in vivo proof-of-concept, with simultaneous oversight of multiple targets. Several target classes and disease areas including transcription factors, proteases (inflammation, Alzheimers), kinases (oncology, inflammation), protein homeostasis, epigenetic targets, binding proteins. Resource management of internal FTEs as well as external FTEs at multiple overseas CRO sites. Teams up to 14 chemists. Drove programs to definitive go/no go decisions on multiple targets.Specialties: Expert at designing molecules with structural novelty, selectivity, high potency, bioavailability, and appropriate pharmaceutical/DMPK/Tox properties.
