When the Executive Director of the CAC resigned due to illness, I was asked by its Board to leave the Bar Association and take over the position. The CAC is largely funded by and works closely with the Massachusetts Attorney General\'s Office, and serves as the Attorney General\'s consumer protection agency for Cape Cod and the Islands. As the Chief Consumer Advocate for the Cape, I lecture to community groups, veterans\' groups, senior centers and business organizations about consumer rights, scams, and how to protect your assets and credit rating. Since taking over the position I have doubled the size of the organization, opened two new offices, and pioneered an internship program with law schools. I have also greatly increased the organization\'s funding through effective grant writing.
