ABOUT BRUCE MULLER

I work in the research division at Satalia, collaborating with a very talented team to develop multimodal solutions for Enterprise AI clients. We leverage the latest advancements in AI to drive innovation and deliver cutting-edge results.Last year I finished collaboration at the University of York, where I worked in a multinational and multidisciplinary human development research project involving multimodal data (vision, motion and ECG), object detection, multiple object tracking, and developing a fully automated video processing pipeline.My PhD from the University of York was focused around leveraging knowledge from structured text and 3D geometry towards semantic segmentation and depth-free self-supervised monocular visual odometry. I hold an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh where I studied topics in machine learning, robotics and bioinformatics (think 3D printer fly brains). Originally I come from an Applied Mathematics background where I specialised in topics such as fluid dynamics and scientific computing at the University of St Andrews.I have published papers in prestigious conferences and journals, such as ICPR, WACV and Sensors, and received multiple honours and awards, such as the Duncan Prize, the Edinburgh Santander Masters Scholarship and the Artificial Intelligence MSc Dissertation Prize.I am passionate about making sense of the world with multimodal pattern recognition.
