About Bruce Litchfield
Bruce Litchfield, Lt Gen (Ret), is the vice president of Sustainment Operations for Lockheed Martin Corporation’s Aeronautics business. In this capacity, he is responsible for and leads the execution of the global sustainment business. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, he served 34 years in the U.S. Air Force, where he commanded six U.S. Air Force units at every level, and launched the Air Force Sustainment Center. He is also the architect of an innovative leadership and governance system called Art of the Possible. With the Flight Line as The Center of Gravity™, Bruce’s leadership has positioned Lockheed Martin as the defense leader in full life-cycle sustainment and global readiness. His unmatched experience has fueled a workforce commitment to the Sustainment Success System™ (S3). Created by sustainers for sustainers, this approach starts at the engineering drawling board embedding sustainment at the conception of product design. S3 is bringing high reliability, condition based maintenance, predictive health and a high-velocity supply system across the Lockheed Martin portfolio.
