With over 40 years of experience in clinical and administrative medicine, research and development, and medical devices and telemedicine, I have dedicated my career to advancing the health and well-being of diverse populations across the globe. As a retired physician and executive, I have a wealth of knowledge and skills in various fields of medicine, such as internal medicine, infectious diseases, respiratory medicine, preventive medicine, aerospace medicine, and disaster planning and relief.I am now Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of d9 Designs, a new company responsible for the development of deuterated caffeine (d9 Caffeine), an innovative and revolutionary new form of caffeine developed to provide sustained benefits of caffeine with reduced metabolites.Most recently, I served as the Head of Clinical Research and General Manager at BioSerenity, a leading company in developing digital biomarkers for epilepsy and traumatic brain injury. In this role, I oversaw the US and Americas business, and provided clinical advice to the CEO and the executive committee. I also partnered with venture capitalists and investors to support the development and commercialization of innovative drugs and medical devices for anti-infectives, respiratory, and transplant therapies. Additionally, I leveraged my expertise in health law and compliance to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and ethics in all aspects of the business.
