About Bruce Lafleur
As a proud Bahamian-American, my identity has been profoundly shaped by my unique cultural heritage, stemming from my Bahamian father and American mother. Growing up in Nassau, Bahamas, instilled in me a deep sense of community and a rich cultural foundation. I spent most of my formative years immersed in this vibrant environment before relocating to Jacksonville, Florida, to complete my senior year at the Episcopal School of Jacksonville. This transition not only expanded my worldview but also enhanced my appreciation for both of my cultural backgrounds.During my time in Jacksonville, I was honored to serve on the Mayor’s Young Leaders Advisory Council and was an active member of several varsity athletic teams. These experiences not only allowed me to demonstrate and refine my leadership skills but also deepened my commitment to making a meaningful impact, particularly in developing nations such as The Bahamas.I pursued my higher education at Valdosta State University, where I immersed myself in campus life and leadership roles. As a member of the Caribbean Student Association and the Mu Omicron Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, I cultivated connections and fostered community engagement. I also had the privilege of serving as President of the Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association, bridging academic insight with practical business applications. My efforts on campus were recognized with multiple honors, including the prestigious Career Engagement Award. I proudly graduated in December 2024 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.Since graduation, I have accepted a position as a Sales Management Associate with PepsiCo in Valdosta, where I am enthusiastic about contributing to the organization and driving meaningful change. I am eager to apply my experiences, embrace new challenges, and anticipate the exciting journey that lies ahead.
