About Bruce Kidwell

Bruce Kidwell is currently the CEO and Principal Consultant for Bruce Kidwell Consulting. Bruce is a retired UPS Executive with 35 years of experience in many facets of international trade, leadership, execution, and strategy that spans across multiple markets in four continents. He spent majority of his career with UPS traveling the world to improve international operations. While doing this he coached and mentored his direct and extended teams for their personal and business growth. He is well-versed in many areas having held leadership roles at the country, district, region, and corporate levels. In Bruce\'s last role with UPS he was the Senior Vice President of Global Customs Brokerage and Trade Advisory Solutions with over employees and was on the Corporate Global Freight Forwarding Staff based in Atlanta Georgia at the UPS Supply Chain Solutions Global Headquarters. In his previous assignment prior to being named to the UPS Corporate Customs Brokerage Global Staff, Bruce was the Vice President of Customs Brokerage and Trade Management Services for the UPS Asia Pacific (APAC) Region from August of 2015 to January of 2019. Based in Singapore, he was responsible for UPS’s Customs Brokerage and Trade Management Services for both Freight Forwarding and Small Package operations that span across 40 countries in APAC with over 1,100 employees. Previous to these recent assignments Bruce joined UPS in 1988 as a package unloader while attending University in the U.S. and later as a full-time employee. Since then, Bruce has taken on successful assignments across operational and engineering roles. He led a team of solutions experts to design a portfolio of temperature sensitive freight solutions in 2012. He was also instrumental in engineering processes and systems to drive efficiencies and support customers’ growth, contributing to the success of UPS’s international operations. Through his strong leadership, Bruce led his team to achieve record service and profit levels for UPS’s global customer brokerage operations prior to his assignment in APAC. Bruce In the community has served as President of the Board for Jesse’s House a non-profit serving girls that have been affected by abusive situations. Bruce has also coached competitive national-level and high school basketball. In the 30 years of coaching basketball he lead teams to win State, Regional, and National titles in competitive travel basketball while also recently coaching High School basketball to two consecutive Region Runner Up Champions and two Sweet Sixteen State Tournament Results.
