About Bruce Johnston
I have 36 years of experience in information technology/systems, data management, instrumentation and control (I&C), commissioning, and electrical engineering for a diverse range of projects that encompass renewables, oil/gas, municipal water/wastewater facilities, data centers, moveable bridges, and industrial control systems. My experience includes design and implementation of a variety of innovative process monitoring and control solutions. I have also applied this experience to developing SCADA and IT master plans for utilities and municipalities. My responsibilities have included business development, client management, project management, leading electronic power monitoring system (EPMS) commissioning teams, I&C design, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and PLC programming, custom application development, data management, network security, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) review for I&C and electrical designs, and small-project electrical engineering and support. I have also provided construction management/oversight and have been a key player is several construction projects. I have worked on all phases of large and small projects from initial business development to final commissioning. Frequently, I have been retained after commissioning to provide ongoing support for completed projects. I also provide troubleshooting services to resolve issues in established plants and/or systems.With a passion for helping people, I have led groups and mentored others.
